Α thousand sorrows - a silent goodnight

Unassuming/ unconnected both phenomenally and acoustically/ two different musical languages/ old music/ traditional Greek music (rembetiko)/ three baroque musicians/ confusion.
A performance by old music specialists and performers, Elena Krasaki (songs), Iasonas Ioannou (baroque cello), Dimitris Tigas (violone) and the musical supervision by Alexandros Ioannou. The creation and the design were made according to the many musical roles of the basso, either in basso continuo or in traditional Greek music as the basso line.
In collaboration with painters Lila Sotiriou (photography/video), and Dimitris Papadopoulos (VJ), this project was first performed in Drama, combining the aesthetic language of black and white photography of the beginning of the 20th century with the original creations of Lila Sotiriou.
In this particular performance though, the original musical content will be performed without its precious artistic side. During this performance pieces by C. Artesano, A. Dalga, D. Ortiz, G. Lafka, J. Des Prez, K. Kanoula and T. Merula amongst others, will be heard.
