University of Thessaly Conference and Cultural Center
The University of Thessaly Conference and Cultural Center is located in Argalasti Pelion about 43 km from the city of Volos, in the premises of the old St. Nicholas Monastery of Paou founded in the early 18th century and ceded in 1985 from the municipality of Argalasti to the University.
The University of Thessaly, respecting the history of the site, necessary restoration and reconstruction works were made to the premises in order to function as a Conference & Cultural Center. The natural beauty of the area as well as the location of the venue-close to Argalasti and at the focal point of the road and hiking communication network of south Mount Pelion villages- render this Centeran ideal place for conducting scientific and cultural events.
